Have you been wondering why what worked in the past is not working today? Consider that you are running a practice business model that is extinct in today’s business and cultural environment.

There are three components to running a successful dental practice: clinical, business and people. While we have gone from band driven hand pieces to lasers on the clinical side, the management of team and patients and the business model being managed is old school.

Enter the Complete Health Dentistry era and the Complete Health Dentistry practice business model. WE are in a defining time in dentistry so lets take a look at the evolution of private practice dentistry. Each era was defined by the context of the prevailing mindset of the consumer that dictated the era and caused the evolution of our great industry.

In the 50s when men were returning from war they came back with missing teeth. The breakthrough for dentistry was to save natural teeth. The next era got to the source of missing teeth and addressing the source of missing teeth, stabilizing gum disease was the breakthrough of the time. Next we moved into the technology age where taking a PA was a huge breakthrough. About 20 years ago the groundbreaking move into cosmetic dentistry happened with the explosion of the consumer wanting to look good and fell good about themselves. Whitening teeth in office was the game changer of its time.

Welcome to the COMPLETE HEALTH DENTISTRY era. Gary Kadi is on the leading edge of installing this game changer where practices in 38 states and Puerto Rico are inspired, mobilized and implementing this era leading methodology that has patients understanding the true value of a visit to the dentist.

should technical aspects of the treatment e.g RCT be explained to the patient in details?

Hi A K LAL

We have done studies of what a patient wants to know. They want to understand the why they need the treatment...the problem the treatment solves...the solution and the investment. Some patients will ask about the specific technical aspects but the majority could care less and very often practitioners spend too much time in this area...so unless the patient asks would i offer tech aspects.

When I recommend a treatment, the most common objections I receive are due to the cost, the lack of time that a patient has, that they want to delay the procedure or that they opt out due to fear of pain. I'd love to know how you would deal with each of these in order to boost patient retention. Thanks!

Great Question Russ

The source of these reoccurring age old issues are absolutely transformed utilizing the 5 Step Case Acceptance and Retention Process i have outlined in the webinar. I suggest re-watching it because most practitioners don"t fully grasp the power of those five simple steps.

Specifically, when you have patients using time and money as objections this is sourced from not creating enough value in the mind of the patient. The source of delay for treatment comes from omitting the consequences in the third step...State and Show the Problem, Explain the Consequences and then only offer solution when they ask you...how do i get this problem fixed and how much will this cost....

In teeth feeling procedures, the dentine are supposed to be exposed, however, CSPR is supossed to occlude them. So does CSPR affect such procceses and can it be recommended for use to such patients?

Will you delineate the roles of the auxiliary staff as the team in this model?

HI Kathleen

Yes you must delineate roles of the aux team, this is the only way you can switch the team from filling time and focused on activity vs focused on a daily primary outcome by position. This eliminates the everyone is accountable for everything, no accountable for anything epidemic in the old model practice. This is a game changer and turns your biggest expense into a profit center.

you will never have a great practice until you treat your patients as people, about whom you truly care.
