Oral Inflammatory Disease: Can It Make You Sick?

In this course, attendees will learn about the periodontal connection in the oral-systemic link as well as the systems affected and the strength of evidence proving this connection. The pathways to collaborative healthcare will also be explored, specifically by learning the importance of dissecting the medical history and screening for pre-diabetes and diabetes in patients. The instructor will also discuss the importance of communicating with medical healthcare professionals and the need to build a collaborative care and referral network to best serve our patients.
