Dr. Gallant is a general dentist who graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2000 and did a one-year GPR at the VA Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico from 2000 -2001. He worked in a private practice in San Juan, Puerto Rico for 2 years.
He entered into the U.S. Veteran Affairs Hospital system in 2003 as a staff dentist and became the Chief of Dental Services for the Orlando, Florida VA Medical Center (2008 – April 2017) and currently the Grand Junction, Colorado VA Medical Center. He presides over a state-of-the-art dental service offering the entire scope of the dentistry for U.S. Veterans.
Dr. Gallant is currently the Chair of the International Programs Committee which is part of the ADA Foundation. He is also a committee member of the Public Health Committee for the FDI. His work in these areas has allowed him to do volunteer teaching missions at the Catholic University in Managua, Nicaragua and the University of Health Science in Vientiane, Laos. He was a program director for 7 years for the volunteer teaching program at the Catholic University in Nicaragua and now presides over many functions such as World Dental Development Fund with the FDI and development of other international volunteer programs through his committee work with the ADA Foundation.
Dr. Gallant’s practice is limited to the areas of Oral Surgery, Endodontics and Implantology and he is a Diplomat of the International College of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Gallant has been teaching and giving lectures for several years on implants to practicing dentists and residents. He has taught both locally and internationally, being invited as a guest speaker.
