Minimally Invasive Dentistry and Special Populations

The Joy of Treating those with Special HealthCare Needs with Minimally Invasive Dentistry Strategies... A Paradigm shift.

With the Special healthcare needs  (SHCN) population aging and increasing in numbers and need, dentistry MUST change the dynamics of dental treatment from surgical to prevention.  Hospital dentistry under general anesthesia is becoming more difficult to access or find providers.  Technology and chemotherapeutics have come a long way and we should employ some of the strategies to prevent disease and start treating the etiology.  Learn more about some of the Minimally Invasive strategies that help SHCN and ALL patients.  Transforming your dental team/office to have fun treating a population that gets underserved and overlooked can be easy and inexpensive.

Participants will learn:

  • Special Health Care Needs definition and disparity of care
  • Basic Caries Risk Assessment and Minimally Invasive Dentistry strategies
  • How to prepare your office staff/team to treat the SHCN population efficiently and fun
