Corey Smigiel is a senior (D4) dental student at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn), and will be matriculating in May 2021. He was born and raised in Scranton, PA, and later graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Biochemistry. As a dental student at Penn, he was an ASDA pre-dental mentor, participated in Delta Sigma Delta fraternity networking events, and was selected to intern at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he investigated a patient-centered interdisciplinary approach in caring for patients. During his senior year at Penn, he was awarded Clinical Honors in Restorative Dentistry where he was granted the ability to treat patients of greater dental complexity. During his free time, he strives to keep a positive lifestyle though exercise, and is passionate about learning new cooking recipes.
