Dr. Julie Marchesan, DDS, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Adams School of Dentistry, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a clinician-scientist who completed her DDS at the University of Sao Paulo in 2003 and PhD at the University of Michigan in 2013. Dr. Marchesan has received numerous research honors and awards by industry, the National Institutes of Health, and the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research. Dr. Marchesan?s research focuses on understanding the periodontal host response and how immune heterogeneity contributes to periodontal disease development.
