This course is designed to meet annual update requirements for both OSHA and CDC guidelines on preventing the spread of infection in dental practices.
Infection Prevention Best Practices Part II will review basics of OSHA and CDC guidelines, cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing, dental unit water lines, waste management and disposal and best practices to control and prevent injury.
Participants will learn:
- Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, the differences and importance of each step
 - Dental unit water lines maintenance
 - Regulated medical waste and proper disposal
 - Best practices for maintaining a safe enviornment for staff, patients and community

She holds an A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene from New York City Technical College, a B.S. in Applied Science and Technology with Dental Hygiene Specialty from Thomas Edison State University, a teaching certification from The College of New Jersey, and a master’s degree in professional studies. Linda has directed and developed accredited dental hygiene and assisting programs at Rowan College at Burlington County and Mercer County Technical Schools, where she led curriculum design, faculty supervision, and clinic operations. Her teaching portfolio includes a wide range of subjects from clinical dental hygiene, head and neck anatomy and radiology to ethics and infection prevention.
