Oral Complications of Cancer Therapy Part 1: Conventional Chemotherapy and Targeted Anticancer Agents

This two-part course will present the most common oral complications of cancer therapy and their impacts on dental care. Case Discussions are included to emphasize real-world application of the material in your practice. Part 1 presents the oral complications of conventional chemotherapy and newer targeted anticancer agents. Topics covered include oral mucositis, stomatitis, immunosuppression, oral infections, and other oral complications.

Oral Complications of Cancer Therapy Part 2: Radiation Therapy and Medication-related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw

This is Part 2 of a two-part course on the oral complications of cancer therapy. Part 2 presents the oral complications of radiation therapy for head and neck cancer, as well as medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) in patients with cancer. Topics covered include radiation-induced oral mucositis, hyposalivation/xerostomia, oral infections, osteoradionecrosis, implications for dental care before and after radiation therapy, and MRONJ in oncology patients.
